International Summer Seminar in Museology, Ecole du Louvre, Paris

She studied Curatorship in Higher Education Center for the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, and then continued her studies in post-graduate level in University of Arts, Tehran. During her undergraduate studies, she developed an interest in the history of museum institutions in Iran, its cultural context, as well as its western influences. She therefor concentrated on Museology as the study of museums, their history and their role in the society as well as its inter-relationship with politics. This is how the National Museum of Iran, as the first institution inaugurated in Iran with specific design and function as a museum, captured her attention, as a result of which, she did an internship in this institution and wrote her Masters dissertation on the representation of communities’ identities in the National Museum of Iran with an emphasis on the Iranian ethnicities.

In light of the fact that the Iranian curatorial practices are mainly under the French and Anglo-Saxon influence, and considering the long history of professional collaborations between Iranian and French archaeologists and curators, she decided to learn French in order to study the history of Iranian museums in the Francophone academia.

Since there is a considerable body of knowledge produced in French in this field, and there are extensive archives on this matter in academic institutions such as Ecole du Louvre, she decided to take part in the professional and theoretical trainings of this prestigious French University, and with the support of Haamee institute, she took part in Ecole du Louvre’s International Summer Seminar in Museology 2023 under the theme of “Museum Storage, Contemporary Challenge”. This seminar is held annually with the aim of providing further training in several areas of museology (such as cultural mediation, exhibition, conservation and restoration, etc.) for international young professionals and advanced students.
