I was born in 1991. I was graduated from Allameh Helli High School in Tehran with a degree in Mathematics and Physics, and ranked 5th in Iran Entrance exam in 2010 and entered the field of electrical engineering at Sharif University of Technology. During my bachelor, I took courses from the Department of Economics at the same time, and after getting acquainted with the field of economics through these courses, I decided to change my field to economics and succeeded in ranking 1st in the master’s entrance exam and won gold medal in the Student Economics Olympiad. So, I entered the Master of Economics of Sharif University of Technology in 2014, which was one of the turning points in my life that affected my future path. I received my MSc degree in Economics in 2017 with the thesis title: “Economic effects of dam construction: Evidence from Iran”.
In the doctoral program, despite receiving full funding from the University of Minnesota, USA, I obtained the 1st rank in the PhD entrance exam in economics and continued my education in 2017 in the doctoral program in economics at Sharif University of Technology.
I am pursuing my academic career as a PhD candidate in Sharif University. My current research focuses on housing economics, urban economics and public economics. My PhD thesis focuses on public housing and its economic impacts and in the first paper of my dissertation, I worked on externality of public housing projects. Apart from these research experiences, I am working at Parliament Research Center of The Islamic Republic of Iran as an economist and in public economics group (2017-).
After PhD, I intend to focus on urban economics and public economics and become faculty at one of the best universities in Iran to be able to provide useful and practical research on the country’s economic problems and lead other students to solve the economic challenges of the country. In addition, I intend to be active in the country’s policy and decision-making centers in order to realize my knowledge and research in the practical field.
The Haamee institute strives to develop human and social sciences in Iran, and especially to expand knowledge of management and governance. In order to do this, Haamee seeks out activities that lead to expansion of general knowledge concerning human sciences to be able to support them.
