Kosar is PhD candidate of management at Graduate School of Management and Economics, Sharif University of Technology. She holds a BSc in industrial engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology and a MSc in industrial engineering with a minor in socioeconomic systems engineering from University of Tehran. Kosar is interested in using computational methods to study socioeconomic systems from a systems perspective. She is currently focused on design of crowdsourcing system for disaster management in a way that facilitates self-organization of volunteers. Methodologically, she is using agent-based simulation as her main method of study.

Kosar’s research has been published in scientific journals and she has experience of management consulting in public and governmental sections.  She has been awarded Haami visiting student scholarship to pursue part of her dissertation under the guidance of Professor Phanish Puranam at INSEAD, Asia campus.
