I was born and raised in Farahan city. I enrolled in the University of Tehran in 2011 to study law. I continued my master’s degree in International Economic and Trade Law. During these years of study and employment, as well as during my volunteer work in Iran, I was constantly concerned with the question of “ why  Iran does not reach to the development it needs, especially sustainable development, and what are the main obstacles.” Although I had gained valuable experience over these years, I felt the need to experience a different environment from what exists in Iran. After receiving offers from different universities, I decided to choose the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), one of the most prestigious international universities due to its pioneering humanities education and professional environment. At the international level, many studies have been conducted on development, the vast majority of which highlight the role of law. For sustainable development and for the fight against poverty and corruption, the rule of law, accountability, and transparency are vital. There is no doubt about the fact that corruption acts as a deterrent to development. The international experience and that of our own country show that social changes affect legal promotion, and legal progress contributes to social development. Legal development is a tool and requirement of a developed society. It addresses the challenges of the rule of law in Iran and paves the way for national development. I hope that with studying in a truly international academic and professional space, I will take a small step towards the development of the legal space and finally, the development of our beloved country.
